/Bad day
Good day/Bad
day is carved out of sugar maple wood. It sports an angry face
on the one side and a happy, smiling face on the other. It is
roughly 14in wide by 12in high by 3in deep.
The idea for 
this piece came from a fellow, very large teacher whose very petite
wife made him very happy one day and very afraid the next.
He said that he never knew what to expect from her. So, he would
often sneak into his home after work and quietly wait for some
evidence as to what mood his wife was in before he approached
her.
I thought a sculpture like Good day/Bad day could act as a signal
in the window. This piece brought mirth to their home for a time.
