Dino Eye

The Wood turners of Ontario invited me to speak at one of their gatherings on some of the basics of art.

They presented me with a couple of turned black walnut blanks and requested that I carve them. At the gathering, I discussed what I did and why I did it i.e. form, pattern, line, repetition, pattern, projection, recession, composition and the fact that the idea came from my eight year old son's fascination with dinosaurs.
